Romanian Easter dinner

On Saturday night the Orthodox celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. They all go to church and share the holy light after midnight.

After a long fasting period, Orthodox Christians have a rich meal with traditional dishes. They crack painted eggs, drink red wine, eat sweet bread and lamb. Here is what our dinner looked like on Sunday evening:
