Pizza without yeast

Butter potatoes

There are so many ways to cook potatoes. My sweet daughter likes them fried or simply boiled with butter and parsley. Today I am going to tell you how you can make the nicest garnish for chicken in the fastest way possible. The only secret is to sprinkle a little more salt than usual. 

We had guests a few nights ago, so I decided to cook something really appealing for 3 young adolescents :). My daughter warned me about the fact that one of the young ladies liked chicken legs and the other one liked chicken breast more. So, I went for a whole chicken on a nice vegetable bed. Here is the recipe!

Ingredients: 1 good looking whole chicken, 5 potatoes, 3 onions, bacon (200 g), basil (2 teaspoons), zest of 1 lemon, olive oil (5 tablespoons), salt, water (3 cups)

Baked Dorada on vegetable bed

I cook dorada very often. After cooking salmon for a very long time (baked, with or without vegetables, with or without cheese, etc) I have decided to cook dorada instead, as it is less fat and has white flesh. Here is a lovely recipe of fish on a vegetable bed that takes quite a while to cook, but the reward is stunning!

Ingredients: 2 dorada fish, 1 large potato, half a red bell pepper, 4 small carrots, 4 small tomatoes, 2 large onions, 4 garlic cloves, olive oil (4 tablespoons), water (1 large cup), salt, basil, juice of 1 lemon

Deep fried vegetable dumplings

Totally enjoyed making deep fried dumplings for the first time in my life. For some reason you can all understand I felt the pleasure of watching Kung Fu Panda again! My daughter and I love that cartoon (especially the first one) and we both think it is full of good advice for grown ups and kids alike. Well, I for one was thinking of Kung Fu Panda because Panda’s father makes noodles and dumplings, but this is not the main part of the cartoon.

I have been dying to make some sort of stuffed something that looked like Chinese something, and I think that these deep fried vegetable dumplings are delightful! I am going to try to use other ingredients in the future: minced beef, some other vegetables, maybe some cheese paste. Anyway, for the time being take my word: they are wonderful! I ate 15 of them with soy sauce…

Potato stew

Every time I cook potato stew I think of summer :). My Granny used to cook it on hot summer days. I remember coming back from the beach and smell the stew from downstairs. The secret? Well, add some smoked sausages or rashers of pork ham and the stew will smell and taste like heaven.

Cream of vegetable soup
