Butter sauteed chicken liver

Consequently after my family enjoyed my “Lemon and garlic chicken liver“, I decided to make an even simpler and faster version of this dish. So follow the easy steps and enjoy!

Ingredients: 500 g chicken liver cleaned and paper towel patted and dried, 2 tbls butter, salt with herbs, pepper, juice of 1/2 lemon

Yield: 3 servings.

Time: 15-20 min.

Preparation:

Clean livers thoroughly in cold water removing veins and yellow parts. Pat dry with paper towel.

Heat butter and throw in one teaspoon of salt, pepper and herbs mix (rosemary, basil).

Cook livers 10 min in non stick pan, covered, over moderate heat. Stir occasionally. Remove cover and cook 3-5 min until brown.

Serve with fresh tomatoes, yellow cheese, lemon slices and parsley. Sprinkle lemon juice on livers. Drizzle one teaspoon olive oil on tomatoes, add salt. In Romania we cook chicken liver often because it is rich in Iron, so it’s very good for kids :).
