Halloween pancakes

The easiest way to keep a 12 year old lady and her great grandfather entertained on Halloween is to have them help you cook! We decided to go for theme pancakes this year, and we hope you’ll like our designs :). The ingredients and quantities are the same as for 5-6 pancakes, but you need to be a little more creative than usual. Try this on Halloween, you won’t be sorry!

Ingredients: 250 g flour, 350 ml milk, 1 egg, 1 tbls sugar, 1 sachet baking powder, 1 sachet vanilla flavored sugar, 10 drops vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, cooking oil, raisins, chocolate, chocolate cookies, cocoa powder and honey for decoration

Yield: 3 servings.

Time: 30 min.

Start by mixing all the ingredients in a large plastic bowl: flour, milk, egg, sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract, vanilla sugar, salt until there are no lumps.

Oil a non stick skillet and place over medium heat. Fill a plastic syringe with batter.

Start creating Halloween shapes carefully. This was the spiderweb:

Cook for 1-2 minutes (until bubbles form) and then flip on the other side and cook another minute or so.

The skeleton/scary face:

The spider (a little bit chubby, mind you):

The spider flipped on the other side:

The cross decorated with raisins:

The ghost (that lost one eye at the end):

The second scary ghost with the chocolate cookie mouth:

And last but not least, Casper the friendly ghost:

Casper flipped on the other side:

At the end we enjoyed the Halloween scary pancakes, decorated them with cocoa, chocolate, honey and ate them all! Enjoy and Happy Halloween, everyone!
