Pizza without yeast

My daughter requested pizza for dinner, so I decided to go for pizza with baking powder. Same thing as regular yeast pizza, the only difference being that you don’t need to wait 2 hours for the dough to grow.

Ingredients:

 for dough: 1.5 cups flour, 3 tbls butter, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 tablespoon salt, 1/2 cup milk (or even more), basil (1/2 teaspoon), oregano (1/2 teaspoon)

toppings: 1/2 tomato, 1/2 yellow bell pepper, 3 slices ham, 5 sliced olives, 50-100 g cooked chicken meat, 2 tbls tomato sauce, 150 g yellow cheese. Feel free to add vegetables, salami, etc.

Yield: 3 servings.

Time: 1 hour.

Mix flour, salt, baking powder, basil, oregano, butter and milk.

Knead on floured counter just until spreadable. Butter round pizza pan.

Place dough on pizza pan. Spread vegetable oil on crust with your fingers (helps tomato sauce not to soak into crust) and push on the sides.

Spread with tomato sauce.

Top with the toppings of your choice, cut and sliced as you wish. I used tomato and yellow bell pepper diced, ham and olives sliced, cooked chicken meat diced. I added the yellow cheese diced on top.

 Bake at moderate heat for 45 minutes. Enjoy a homemade pizza that will make your kids worship you!
